Orange N Yellow

So I was trying to learn how to do new techniques. I came across a tut that told me how to emboss and sponge over the top of it. I  have wanted to learn the sponging technique, though the embossing part was pretty  neat too I just didn 't get that far. At least not with this card. This stamp set is Gossamer Wings from SU and I'm not sure what set the saying came out of but I know it's an SU set, (if anyone knows let me know and I'll add the name). So, anyway, more playing with the watercolor pencils and gamsol and some sponging technique voila, I have what I think is a pretty cool card! :)

Watercolor Pencils

So... My SU! Demonstrator and friend, Jen introduced me to watercolor pencils and Gamsol technique! What a freakin cool thing!! I won't sit here and explain it all to you because most of you know what it is if you're interested in the blog at all. However, for those of you that don't it's basically a colored pencil that you use to color the image that you've stamped, then you use this oil to blend it and it is like becoming an artist and didn't even know it!

A hidden secret about me, I LOVE to color! I have since I was small. I even won a coloring contest when I was about 10(?). It was a very proud moment in my life! I won 15 bucks! Back then (yes showing my age here) 15 bucks was a LOT OF MONEY! So this opportunity was something I JUMPED on learning to do! Here's my first attempt! Hope you like!

Piggy Birthday

A birthday card I made for a friend at work. She has not seen it yet. I hope she likes it!!

Classroom Valentines

Instead of buying valentines this year to hand out Shelby and I made hers. We embossed the front then stuck a sucker in each one. She said that they came apart though, so I recommend that if you try this one, make sure the back is sealed better. We just used craft tape to originally tape them shut. When she had to fix them I believe that she used tape to put over the back. Oh well lesson learned!

First Stamp Club

.

These are the cards I made for my first stamp club. Simple squares and I used foam stickers for the letters.

Thanks

My first card. This one I made from a picture I saw in a book. Kind of proud of myself for this one!

Welcome!!

This is going to be my new blog. I have found a wonderful thing called Stampin' Up! and I have started creating with it! I LOVE doing it! This is where I'll be placing all of my creations and things that I receive from other friends and from stamp club. I am hoping to start doing challenges and such too! Wish me luck! I'm just starting out so be nice! (haha)
